The name GWELD is derived from the Dutch word “geweld,” which means “violence.” This is precisely the energy he aims to infuse into his music and DJ sets. At his debut performance as GWELD, he closed out Club BASIS during a talent night. This experience greatly boosted his confidence, and now he performs across the whole Netherlands for events and venues such as Verknipt and at the Now & Wow and als internationally in countries such as Germany and Belgium. His music is characterised by melodic elements paired with hard drums. The harmonies and sound design create a melancholic tone.
